I'm keeping my eyes peeled for nerd shops just because the odds of me running into cheaper Crystal Chronicles stuff is never zero. I got TCB for $5 and CC for $15 out of some no-box bargain bins. The boxless life is a merciful one.

It is possible but boxless switch games are not at all uncommon at second hand stores. I worked at a game store and cleaned THOUSANDS of games. Rubbing alcohol on the contacts solves the problem like 98% of the time. Occasionally id need a stronger cleaner but that was only for visible corrosion
