I don’t want to get into all the BBC issues but I feel like if you can describe trans people as fascist whilst working as a BBC presenter with no issues then by definition trans people do not have power over you.

The BBC is being closed down by the USA christo-fascist funded ‘Gender Critical’ hate movement.
Given the BBC muzzled all trans voices while platforming every GC arsehole around, we have to wonder where this will go next.

What price freedom of the press? #BBCCoup
It’s already started - the BBC allows Newsmax boss to opine about bias, suggest some of the Jan 6 mob were merely innocent tourists visiting Congress, without pushback

Because the edit of Trump's speech was indeed misleading in a narrow sense, somehow this is supposed to make the rest of the "dossier" true.

Like the line from Richard III:
"With Lyes well steel'd with weighty Arguments."

These constant right-wing attacks are weakening the BBC to the point of extinction. Urgent wide-ranging action is required to strengthen it before it’s too late. This crisis can be turned into an opportunity. iandunt.substack.com/p/extra-edit... #bbcpm

Prescott's claims that the broadcaster had been “captured by a small group of [staff] promoting the Stonewall view” of gender identity issues is hogwash - the corporation regularly featuring debates on trans issues conducted in robust terms. iandunt.substack.com/p/extra-edit... #wato

The Prescott letter is sounding more and more like the Cass Review - talked about, referred to as support for policy positions, but no evidence displayed of having read it, by those who refer to it. #wato #bbcwato #BBCcoup

This is apparent. US oligarchs have been trying to subvert British politics for 25 years. Sir Starmer is their project to hamstring the Socialist Labour Party while Banker Farage is promoted by the Orwellian Far-Right controlled BBC.

I think we’re several years past the point where “Whoops, it was just groupthink again, silly us” is going to cut it as an explanation for one avoidable shitshow after another, don’t you

I DEMAND Panorama IMMEDIATELY produces a documentary showing Kamala Harris not instigating a violent riot, not sexually assaulting anyone, or getting fined for denying it, or being found guilty of business fraud, or f*cking a porn star AND accepting the result of an election.
You know. For balance.

Not surprising for trans people who had to watch Beth Rigby demanding that the head of Stonewall talk to Tufton Street anti trans pressure group the "LGB Alliance."

How was he planning to "blow the place up?" Reveal something, perhaps? #BBCcoup
‘Gibb’s supporters say he is trying to save the BBC from itself; he was also heard last year to say that if he didn’t get his way, he would “blow the place up”.’

Astonishing to see people fussing over this as if it's just another bit of internal BBC navel gazing and not the senile emperor of a dying global hegemon enforcing fealty from one of its most loyal satrapies.
Exactly, so the BBC didn't need to shoot themselves in the reputation by editing it that way. But they did, and here we are

suspect that anyone on the progressive side of politics who put any stock in the utterly hollow concept of BBC political neutrality is about to find out how bad it can get.

You should have listened to trans people.

To paraphrase from memory, Rusbridger said that it was either a world where we don't know what is true, or it's the BBC.

The BBC has been engulfed in Surkov style dissociation for years now. #r4today #BBCcoup

Just one of the topics in the right wing Jeremiad (not a dossier) #r4today #BBCcoup
So the Telegraph’s “BBC bias dossier” - supposedly written by ex-BBC adviser Michael Prescott - is being used to claim there’s a rogue LGBT+ unit “censoring” gender-critical voices inside the BBC.

Let’s look at what’s actually in it. Spoiler: it’s nothing but recycled transphobic talking points!

🧵
For reference - Here’s the Telegraph article with the Prescott memo complaining about the BBC published in FULL.

Obviously, it’s an archived link which circumvents their paywall - as there’s no way I’m gonna give that transphobic rag any clicks or coin! 😣

Michael Prescott and Sir Robbie Gibb both bailed out of journalism years ago, and enjoy lucrative careers in corporate PR. And now they are the arbiters of BBC editorial standards. Go figure www.prospectmagazine.co.uk/ideas/media/...

It is the BBC’s entire governance structure–rather than individual stories–that should cause most concern
