Interesting wrinkle: we're using the AzureDataExplorer exporter in an OpenTelemetry Collector to ingest trace data. It writes the Trace and Span IDs as hexadecimal strings, and you have to parse them back to byte[] otherwise Jaeger complains. Took an hour or two to figure that one out.
