But they are over Michael - the fossil-fuel industry were victorious while their ALP/LNP Allies receive millions in 'reparation' donations. This of course is all paid for by the losing side - the Australian public - through insurance, tax & power price hikes ...

I agree, however the ALP should be 3rd last. One nation should be last, it's worse than the LNP.

I would like Labor to know that I have begun thinking about deploying my preferences towards independents, greens, Teal-like groups. Don't know who they'll be this far out but I will be discussing this at coffee shops, on public transport, and anywhere two or more are gathered. Advice will be sought

I am so sick of this distraction. The LNP are irrelevant right now - what matters is the damage the ALP is doing in power & its refusal to put up legislation that would actually tackle some of the most climate damaging projects. But no, the Overton window we're allowed is "should it be even worse".

The next election cycle isn't for a while so nobody's announced their campaign yet. There are two independents, who I suspect will both ultimately vote in favour of a bathroom ban, but the margin between the LNP and the ALP is large enough that it's unlikely 2 MPs will decide it

4. They would need to get it through parliament. Current bloc balance is LNP+KAP 55, ALP+QG 36, IND 2. I don't have a read on either of the independents; Bolton seems very receptive to TERF feedback but possibly in a naive way, Sullivan is ex-Labor for bad reasons but that could mean anything.

It's not specifically Nazi hatred we don't like. it is the existence of them in our streets that is the problem. There are no Nazis who are lovely, caring people. One does not separate the hatred from the Nazi; there is no one without the other. The are undemocratic and breed hatred with each breath

I’ve pretty much written off the LNP but given weakness of ALP I fear they are just laying the foundations for these hateful nut jobs to gain a foothold even while our electorate has been quite clear about this type of politics, disaffection & economic hardship breed all manner of peculiar swings
I will never vote for the ALP again under #RollOverAlbo. He lied repeatedly during the last election. His small target approach is really a cover for his lack of integrity and courage. Only thing he has going for him is the LNP are even worse. Question is why do we only have 'worst' or 'worstest'

Albo is a right-wing fraud with no place even being a member of a nominally-left party, let alone its leader. His legacy will be that he is embraced by the LNP as one of its greatest ideological champions, and they’ll laugh at how the ALP helped him do it.
