Of course I’m biased because I’m Italian, but it’s incredible that Federica Brignone, “la tigre”, won TWO Olympic gold medals about 10 months after a terrible injury that for many would mean never walking again. This is one of the biggest comebacks in professional skiing. 🇮🇹
From @theathletic.com: There will be a lot of contenders for the athletes to have had the best Winter Olympics — and Federica Brignone is one of them. The Italian skier, who returned to competition a month ago after a bad injury, won her second gold medal. nyti.ms/4tEjfRO

The beauty of the Olympics is that I can become personally invested in a sport or an athlete I know nothing about. I watched the Women’s Skeleton last night and was genuinely happy for a 36 year old Austrian woman I had never heard of. Janine Flock has her gold.
