WeRateDogs turns 10 years old today! A very silly idea to numerically objectify dogs has become one of the kindest and most powerful online communities ever. Thank you for joining us over the last decade. I never knew what this could be until you all showed me. Here's to many more good dogs ❤️

think of KNIGHTS OF THE DINNER TABLE MAGAZINE as the inheritor of Dragon magazine as an important part of gaming culture. Not just because they reviewed THE RULES OF SUPERVILLAINY in this issue either. #DND #dungeonsanddragons

From a click bait article about how wonderful Edmonds Washington is. Mt Rainier looming over the seaside town is pretty funny. It's like a fever dream of what people think it is in Edmonds. I think those buildings are also wrong. :)

Found an old engraving of the white house in an old book. I think it was from the 1800's sometime after the civil war?

Taking a scan of a book cover before upcycling it. The paper was disintegrating, like that scene from the time machine. :) I'm going to be fixing the spine, etc. and turning it into a journal. I liked the sticker. :)

Fooling around with #inkscape this morning. It's a free drawing app if you need one. (The image is of a McGuffey reader on a tag template.)

It's crossed my mind for a while that the US media has been using old pictures/photoshopping his pictures for a while. For the UK pictures, they just seem a bit 'off'. Is the makeup really that blotchy in real life? Or is it 'enhanced' to look that way?

Canceled my hulu this morning. I've had it forever. I can't cancel a disney theme park or a cruise, the very idea of being around that many people induces a stress headache.

Bluesky is now 20% random posts by people refusing to acknowledge the news of the day, 30% people reacting to the news & main characters of the day, & 50% exhausted artists trying to sell their work with strained, cheerful posts.

Nevertheless, we persist.

So weird to see the events of yesterday above the fold vs. the 9/11 events/stories on news sites. I'm looking at the abc news website right now.

Booked a covid shot appointment. We shall see if the washington state rules prevail! Definitely over qualified for the BMI and the sedentary federal reasons.

Google ad on Reddit about using their AI to understand Shakespeare. I gotta tell you, Shakespeare isn't that complicated. It's one part mistaken identities, one part soap opera, and one part sword fights. If you can follow the plot of General Hospital, you can figure out Shakespeare. :)

Back home and reading about all the international postal systems refusing to ship to the US after the $800 deminimus is eliminated. It's going to devastate a ton of #etsy shops. Hopefully, #Etsy is working on a better plan than everyone turning off sales to the US.
