I'm enjoying Fields of Mistria so far.

Investors only care about making their money and getting out before whatever bubble they are in pops. The system does not incentivize making good product, it incentivizes getting your bag and getting out and fuck anyone else. We deserve better, all of us.

Her arcs have been so much fun to read and the art in IDW sonic in general is amazing. There are panels that simply ooze raw emotion, panels that I find myself coming back to again and again just to look at them and feel the emotions I felt when I first read them.

I've always been a sucker for the trope of lab experiment super weapon characters that turn villain because they are so bitter, but are secretly a good person. And Surge the Tenrec hits those tropes for me so hard.

I was watching the first two Swan Princess animated films from the 90s with @pren.bsky.social and I learned that in the 2nd one the villain Clavius singing voice was the same guy that sang the Sonic Underground theme. I also got this screenshot of him that is super meme worthy.

I love that Ian Flynn stated that he didn't INTEND Starline to be a queer coded villain but after seeing how much people loved him he started to lean into it. But like...having his design be inspired by Jareth the Goblin King? Come on now, he was destined to be fabulous.
