Still ran dingo, yellow dog dingo.
I might have went a bit silly the other night.
Still have a long way to go to get somewhat decent at it.
Least now I've got plenty postcards now :D

One day I'll set up a proper, windowless darkroom so I can do this during the day. It's certainly fun but can take its time. x3
Time for bed and to do it all over again tomorrow night -.-
Night all.

And that's a wrap. Finally back home. Only had little naps on the flight home, but seeing the sun rise at 40000ft was certainly very pretty.
Time to slowly adjust from holiday mode back to the status quo.

Thursday, absolutely last day in Japan. Heading out in the evening and arriving home tomorrow.
Did some shopping in Akihabara before seeing @mow.gay and Matt off. Was sad to see them go after they initiated this wonderful trip.
Had some sushi for lunch and spent the afternoon at the airport.

Wednesday, the last night of staying in Japan. Took the Shinkansen back to Tokyo and strolled through Ueno Park again. This time there was a Panda Beer Festival happening.
For dinner we went back to an old favourite and got to see Millfy the promotional manager again.
It's starting to feel surreal.

Tuesday started off as a recovery day with me going out to a motorcycle store to browse.

After lunch, we decided to go to Universal Studios. The Flying Dinosaur was amazing and thrilling to go on! Harry Potter's Forbidden Journey and Hollywood Dream were also pretty great.

Monday was our early start for Hiroshima, firstly tackling the castle and it's grounds. Inside was a nice layout on the history of the city, leading up to the present day and great views up on top.
Leaving for lunch, we saw a bunch of koi basking in the shade of a surviving eucalyptus tree. 1/2

Back to Kyoto on the Sunday. This time going to Kiyomizu-derea with its amazing truss work. We had some buckwheat soba while there.
Next was the golden Rokuon-ji Kinkaku and it's surrounding gardens.
In the way to dinner we got caught in quite the downpour! But luckily dinner wasn't too far.

Saturday we took the Shinkansen to Kobe and went to the Nunobiki Herb Gardens, which was a lovely walk with stunning views of Kobe.
Walked around a mall before going to Yidaki Cafe for a light dinner which gave the feeling of a chill VRC world.
We did some meandering around again before going home.

Friday was a busy day in Osaka, starting off with Osaka Castle, lunch, then Osaka Aquarium, a bit of shopping in Nipponbashi, and then closing out the day with TeamLabs Botanical and dinner (would've been cool to combine).
What a day, I was definitely pleased to become horizontal by the end of it.

Kyoto was next and we went straight to Fushimi Inari Taisha. We found a marked path to go to the summit of Mount Inari. Was bit of a mistake as it turns out could reach there on the main path and quickly became not quite as marked. There were so many stairs @.@

Wednesday was off to Nara to get bullied by deer! There were so many of them and was fun to watch them chase others. Strangely enough, we couldn't find any vendors for some crackers.
We also visited the gardens, Kasugataisha Shrine, and Tōdai-ji.
Had dinner at a tofu place in Nara before home time.

Mountain Day was a lax day of doing laundry and then going to the Imperial Palace to walk through its gardens.
The night we spent having a drink or two while writing out some correspondence to some friends. ^w^

Afterwards was a quick look through the Pakistani festival that was going on and then the National Museum of Western Art.
Funnily enough, I was surprised to see myself connect to eduroam while there, wasn't aware it was a global thing!
We then walked down Kappabashi St for some window shopping. 2/2

Sunday we headed off to Ueno Park, firstly going to the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum. We had an English guide who was one of the artist at the Peace exhibit that was on. On the way out, an elderly lady stopped us to teach us how to fold a crane and why it is a symbol of peace. 1/2

After exploring, we headed off to Shibuya to see the good boy Hachiko and the scramble.

Dinner was an amazing vegan restaurant. Millfy the promotional manager got plenty of treats who is another great doggo.

The night was closed out with great company and a highball by the Sumida River. 2/2

With nothing solidly planned, Saturday involved walking pass the metro police museum to have cafe for a boiled egg and waffles. While waiting for a bit, we looked around Nissan Corner showroom which was very flashy.
Done there, we then went out to B-Side level in Setagaya and then Meiji Jingu. 1/2

Friday was breakfast at Alchemy followed by TeamLabs Boarderless and then Planets.

Don't think any amount of words, photos, or videos can be used to describe how unique and amazing the exhibits are!

We then finished the day by visiting the statue of liberty.

Next was Disneyland Tokyo! The weather was more favourable being cooler and overcast.

First time ever being to one and I'm just blown away by the atmosphere and theming.
Was very interesting to learn the history behind the parks.
Favourite rides have to be Beauty+Beast and Star Tours

Whoops, been having waaaay too much fun to keep this updated >.>
Wednesday was rough, going from 10C in the airport to high 30s was bit of a shock but still managed to survive. Was great walking around Sensō-ji followed by a walk to the Imado shrine.

Should preface this that there was a bit cute little conga line of planes departing yesterday.

Aaaand I wasn't ready for the temperature difference x3

Was a long night of printing and still didn't get through everything!
Super glad with how some of them turned out, just need to hunt down the subjects and give them their picture.

Film for FurDU. Hopefully doesn't annoy airport security too much. x3
