Having played this with the NS2 patch, this was such a great time overall. The open world could use some work in the next gen, but the story and cast really shine here. That final act especially is up there as one of the best in the series.

Watched this for a writing class and thought it was pretty solid. Some of its concepts aren't easy to grasp at first, but the overall worldbuilding was still really interesting to watch.

Maybe it's due to my low expectations going into this game, but I ended up liking it well enough by the end. There's a lot going for it despite aspects like the story feeling underdeveloped, with Galar as a region just being really cool in general.

Actual fever dream.

Still my favorite generation in the entire series to this day, a feeling which this revisit only further solidified. I really don't know if I can put into words how much it means to me.

Finished this right in time for its 3rd anniversary. Playing this probably would've hit harder if I wasn't spoiled on everything going in, but it was still fun despite its issues. Makes me way more excited to see how the next game improves from here though.

Fun Halloween game that didn't take too long to beat either. I think I still prefer Dark Moon and 3 overall, but this feels like it would be the most easy to replay.

There's a lot of aspects here I can think of that I wish were improved or more fully realized, but I'd also be lying if I said this revisit didn't remind me how special this game was, and still is to me even 12 years later.

Once again reminded that the glaze this generation gets is so deserved.

An unbelievably great adaptation on basically every front. The directing and animation for each sequence elevates this whole arc so much, and it just makes the potential for what comes next even more exciting.

Forgot to add this earlier, but it was enjoyable enough for a Halloween movie (Mostly due to watching this with others)

There'll never be another game like this again.

Some aspects like the inventory hold it back a bit, but this was really good. It still feels unique despite how many other games would take inspiration from it years later.

Outside of some really obnoxious map design in the middle, this was pretty fun. Probably one of the harder FE games I've played so far as well.

Revisiting this almost 4 years after release, I don't hate it as much as back then, but it's still such a baffling disappointment of a remake for way too many reasons I can list. Praying that Gen 5 gets treated better than this.

Completely lived up to and surpassed the expections I had for it after all these years, what else can I even say

As someone who waited years for this arc's adaptation, it's already off to an amazing start outside of some pacing issues. Akaza was the obvious highlight here and it's not even close.

For the first GBA game in the series, it's not bad for the most part until the last third. Some of the later bosses are so poorly designed that save states practically felt necessary.

Pretty fun game overall, the stages especially have some really cool ideas and aesthetics going for them. Just gonna pretend the final boss doesn't exist though.

Finished this a lot faster than I expected to. Even several years later, it still stands as an all time favourite game for me, and this replay just makes me even more hyped for its sequel.

Easily a top 3 FF game for me. It captures everything that makes this series so special and sets it in one of the most unique and realized worlds I've seen in any game.

There's not too much in terms of content here, but the core gameplay's fun enough to make up for that, City Trial especially. The sequel looks great with how much it's building on this though.

It's fine tbh. Didn't really hate anything here except ep 1's visuals and final boss. Ep 2's actually kinda decent

Haven't played this since its release, but it still stands high in my ranking of the series. Hoenn as a setting is reimagined so perfectly that it makes this the best version to play through it Imo.
