Having covered Tesla when it first started I can say unequivocally that company would never have existed without government subsidies. NPR on the other hand gets 98-99% of its revenue from non-governmental sources. But go off, Goebbels.

For those keeping track at home, Dems held the floor all night and are still going strong this morning.
35+ Dems plan to hold the Senate floor all night to oppose the confirmation of Musk-Trump funding freeze architect Russ Vought. THIS is how we fight back while in the minority.

You know how you get a warning for dangerous weather events on your phone for free, and can check weather forecasts for free?

Wouldn’t it be better if that was a $15 a month subscription service?
What the fuck do they even want at NOAA?

I tried to boot my Facebook account back up bc connecting with folks who are by default less engaged in politics is important, and I'm losing my sense of where regular folks are at... But I'm locked out - the 2fa code isn't being sent despite trying several times. So that's... interesting...

What I love about this picture isn’t that this person is a hero, it’s that he’s nobody. Not a celebrity. Not a politician. Nobody that history will record or mark. Just a dude of conscience standing up. That should be the message: we are millions of nobodies, we will rise up, and that’s unstoppable.
