page 4 of 5. mako dramatically and hesitantly raises the sandal, preparing to hit the spider. she looks really intimidating, her whole figure shadowed except for a determined glint coming off her eye. the spider turns to look at her. suddenly, mako has disappeared, leaving vyce on her own. vyce says “wh— HEY!! COWARD!” page 5 of 5. cut to octavia again. vyce and mako are once again arguing in the background. octavia looks extremely irritated. she abruptly stands up from her desk, stomps down the hallway, grabs a cup and a paper, and catches the spider without hesitation. she lets it free outside, to which mako and vyce watch in awe. octavia, looking very angry, turns to them as she’s leaving and says “NOW KEEP IT DOWN. PLEASE.” vyce and mako, ashamed, say “yes ma’am….”

page 2 of 5. mako bolts behind vyce for protection. vyce says, “heh, what, the thunder in your blood doesn’t cure spider phobias?” to which mako replies, “yeah yeah, laugh it up. can you just get rid of it please? squish it, trap it, i don’t careee… save meeee….” vyce doesn’t like spiders either, but imagines the aftermath if she does help. mako is saying “so brave~! my hero!!” and vyce stands proudly saying “hmph. not so scary…” vyce agrees to do it. “alright alright, i’ll take care of it. show me where it is.” she looks behind a kitchen counter thinking “surely it can’t be THAT… bad…..” she sees the spider. it’s very large and censored. page 3 of 5. vyce, shadowed, says “mako…” she turns to show a horrified and disgusted expression. “I’M NOT GOING NEAR THAT THING.” mako, out of frame, shouts “HUH?!!!” cut to octavia in her room, working on something on several hologram monitors. vyce and mako can be heard arguing in the background. she thinks to herself, “they’re so loud…” cut back to vyce and mako. mako, nervous, declares “ugh… f-fine! i’ll do it!!” vyce, now hidden behind mako, gives mako a shoe. “here, use octavia’s sandal.”
