I have been experimenting with chickpea pasta, which I think is the best tasting of the pasta substitutes, and with cooking it ahead of time to develop resistant starch.

Every one of my grandparents was an immigrant. I can’t imagine the courage it took to leave everything they knew for another country across an ocean.

Then there’s the fact that American English has adopted so many Yiddish words (albeit with Germanized orthography and slightly altered definitions) that all kinds of people use them without any clue of their origins.
