I don't understand how anyone can watch how blatantly Grok is manipulated to answer the way ownership desires it to and then act like the other LLM chatbots couldn't possibly be similarly but less obviously compromised to produce responses in whatever way corporate interests and priorities dictate.

I think it’s too late to ask. Congress was only putting up token, performative resistance. Now that Trump has torn down the East Wing of the White House, and the American people did nothing, he has no need of the performance. He is free to do what he wants, and we are all screwed.
Is it too early to ask: What if Congress never meets again? What if the President just decides by himself, with the help of private donors, what he wants to spend money on or not?
