I did have a full set of ghosts I carved too, but Pinky sold at my last market. Maybe I'll make another one.

I keep them very boxy as they're based on pixel sprites, yet they have the wonky analog appeal of a hand-carved piece of wood.

I only work with wood, the reason I picked up printmaking was to focus specifically on a single medium. Grain is interesting. Cutting against the grain can cause tearing, especially with a gouge. However cutting with the grain has its own quirks; it cuts too easily at times so you can overshoot.

Really tough to get a good video, as I normally have my nose pressed to the block, and I turn the block often to get the right approach angle.

I just put in the outline cuts, try and push the waste wood out, and then trim any stubborn strands.
