Is this actually accurate? I think with big outboard motors and fuel drums onboard, in good weather this is possible. However even if they are drug runners, they need to be interdicted by police/coast guard and not extra-judicially executed. This is the point.

All of these comments about Hegseth being prosecuted for war crimes are soothing, because he should be, but let’s be real. Has any high level American official ever been charged with war crimes from Nicaragua to Iraq? Look at Cheney who lived a long free life, he was responsible for 400-600k deaths.

I get it but, I think, if the reporters fight back in the moment on the personal insults they make an error in *becoming* the news. They are doing their professional job by simply asking questions and reporting the answers. His reaction (like “quiet piggy”) speaks volumes, and this IS the news.

Normally I enjoy your posts but I cringed at this one. It denigrates Indigenous culture and turns sacred regalia into a costume/meme. It’s not too late to take this one down.

Curious, has he actively defended his relationship? From what I’ve seen it’s more: be silent, dance around it, not repudiate. (btw even based on that, he has fallen far in my eyes - grew up through the Oilers dynasty loving all those guys)

Personally I don’t think she deserves any credit. She’s only turning on Trump because she sees the writing on the wall. She’s an opportunist and is positioning. Her only “values” are doing or saying whatever (no matter how odious) will further her political career at the time.

Well that’s true, but these types of engineering disasters, particularly one that only took days after construction completion, are by vast margin (almost exclusively), avoidable by proper engineering practices and adherence to accepted standards and regulations.

I would not let those involved off the hook though.. this was a human failure. Either in site selection, geotechnical, design, decision makers, or any combination thereof
