I love games where status works on bosses, feels good to take advantage of
Can I say that Clair 33 not having enemies straight up resist status effects is good design? It doesn't make some skills entirely useless. The only restriction is that the enemies have more status effects they can do on you, which I think is fine if it means I can burn or stun even the final boss.

honestly the "I'm glad they made this JRPG good by not having teen characters" is something I've grown to not really even understand now that I'm well into my adult years, because it's not like they're written like teenagers or deal with teenage problems most of the time
