Absolutely do not want to rush you folks, you do amazing work and everything takes time, I'm just asking out of eager anticipation to read the Neon Rain book- Do you have a vague idea when the previously released PDF content will be released to backers? Weeks, months, etc?

If @colin-ryan.bsky.social is not too busy, perhaps you could talk about having him on a Geekenders episode sometime? He's the absolute sweetest, I'd love to hear what you all had to chat about.

I've never watched Fargo, but I can say with certainty: Yes, up until you ask them directly, at which point they'll get back to you with the most obscure and outrageous leap of logic to explain how that woman is impossibly unrealistic and irreparably breaks the lore and artistic integrity of Fargo.

Don't threaten me with a good time my man.

Did you finish Metaphor ReFantazio off stream? By the end it feels like someone looked at the current political landscape, considered the harsh realities & depressing inevitabilities of the failings of people and politics, and made a hopecore RPG about it. I felt hopeful for the first time in ages

(3.) Or purposefully self-censoring, but assuming he could have the best of both worlds and didn't realise how hard it was to actually see his message.

(2.) But in saying that I'd imagine Gunn wouldn't be acting confused in the media as to why nobody "got it" if he'd witnessed his work gutted by execs, so that points more towards Gunn unintentionally self-censoring.

I'd struggle to guess whether it's Gunn (intentionally or not) self-censoring or execs. Despite Barbie's hands off approach, I could see Warner execs descending on a sure-fire success like Superman the same way Disney execs descended on Mando after leaving the unexpectedly successful first alone.

I get you, I've only ever played about 10 minutes of D&D once with a couple of friends, but I've bought and read so many roleplaying game books that I know I'll never play just because I find the settings and mechanics fascinating.

Not sure I agree the difference between Sauron and Saruman is equivocal to the gulf between Kamala and the "Glass'em with bombs and I'll build hotels on their remains" rapist president, but I hear your point.

3) Full disclosure, I'm not from the US, so hands up, it doesn't even feel like my place to comment and I apologise. I'm not trying to judge, I'm genuinely trying to reason here. I had such idealistic hopes for the US before the election results and it hurts to see how many people he's hurting.

2) My go-to example is that Dems' attempts to push for better healthcare have twice been punished in elections by voters.

Don't we need to convince people to actually want better causes before giving up on the only opposition to Trump with a chance to win?
April 15, 2025 at 9:34 AM
If the country can't even shake off Trump is it ready for a better candidate than the Dems?

But surely as part of trying to fix the system we should vote for the guy doing less genocide, not the guy gleefully rubbing his hands and promising more genocide, while fighting for political/electoral reform? Not electing the guy promising to consolidate his power and make reform even harder?

If someone claims they don't support Sauron but puts in more time and effort bashing the Last Alliance of elves and men it means they aren't actually worried about whether or not he wins because they didn't understand why they shouldn't be supporting him in the first place.

And any future president, Dem or Rep, is removing these tariffs. Is anyone really going to pay a whole lot of cash to build a swathe of new manufacturing infrastructure across the US only to get undercut by the rest of the world again in a few years? I doubt it. It's pointless. Pointless suffering.

Do you think this would normally be spaced out more throughout the year to avoid competition if not for online services allowing people to watch whenever?

Actually, has that ever been a thing for TV or just for films?

I've detoured from the listening order (currently on ep. 121, Guardians of the Galaxy) based on this recommendation. Absolutely worth it, Andrew's such a gem.

It's been an enjoyable and interesting watch, especially your insights as a VA but also personal tidbits like your self-discovery with neurodivergency. I'm really looking forward to seeing you reach Heavensward, can't wait for you to meet your own Alphinaud. 😂

Thank you for looking into it, and happy new year!

Looked into it further and various sites mention YouTube have developed this "Ad Injection" to bypass ad-block, and did it without any warning in a way that makes content creators look like they support scammy gambling ads. Pretty diabolical.
January 1, 2025 at 12:55 AM
It's also part of the video transcript, which doesn't normally include ads. Some folk are saying it may have have been added by a podcast host/distribution service, if you use one of those?

Hope it doesn't end up causing you a headache anyway.

This appears to be part of the video itself, not a normal Youtube ad. Apologies for the hassle if it's nothing, but could you double check?

Youtube really sucks if they're actually stitching ad audio directly into videos, a lot of people are going to be confused and assume the worst.
