Atrocity did a cover of Wild Boys and I swear to god, in a thick German accent the lyrics sound more right.

That said, it's also a great song to make up lyrics to:

"Wild boys are coming"
"They've got cornflakes in their hair"

I don't feel qualified to judge my own Cool, but it definitely made me weird.

Those things sharpened me into an arrow aimed directly at Borges and all his children.

For me, it was early childhood exposure to Russell Hoban in the form of the animated kids movie The Mouse and His Child.

Also watching Alien when I was ten.

All of my characters are self-insert characters.

Every last one of them.

Why not talking boards? Is the planchette so different from the needle array?

Think of these early devices as an uncanny radio tuned to consequential events, most likely usually deaths.

If you put yourself in the shoes of someone receiving a telegram from one of these devices in the late 1830's, it's extraordinarily easy to imagine how Spiritualism grew.

This was a communication medium only for the very wealthy. They knew there were words in the wires that activated the needles.

(er, Saturn 3)

I haven't seen it in a really long time. Maybe early 90's? was the last time I watched it?

All I really remember is Sean Connery and a dude's head exploding in his space suit.

The early 80's were really the time of exploding heads. I do at least recall it being better than Saturn V.

Closest I can think of is Outland, which is a murder mystery, corporate espionage kinda deal. Much more The Insider in space instead of Manhunter.

There‘s just no one making films quite like her. At the rate she‘s made stuff in the past, I didn’t expect a new one so soon after Earwig.

NEW Hadzihalilovic!?

I haven't seen a single image from it or heard a word that isn't in the title, but I'm there for it.
