Anyone who read Project 2025 saw things like this coming a mile away
NEW — OMB temporarily pauses all agency grants and loans programs.

Per copy of memo: "The use of Federal resources to advance Marxist equity, transgenderism, and green new deal social engineering policies is a waste of taxpayer dollars that does not improve the day-to-day lives of those we serve."

Since I spoke with Bolts, Connecticut's constitutional amendment to allow no-excuse absentee voting overwhelmingly passed. Now our legislature may pass laws expanding our restrictive absentee voting system to everyone. I'll be working with the ACLU-CT to ensure timely implementation this session.
Even if Connecticut expands mail-in voting, disability justice advocates say more has to be done to make polling places accessible too.

“Everyone should have that freedom to wait in line... fill out the ballot themselves and get that ‘I voted’ sticker.” boltsmag.org/connect...
Connecticut Ballot Measure Could Make Voting More Inclusive
Voters will decide on a ballot initiative that would set the stage to let everyone vote by mail without an excuse—an option that could expand access for voters with disabilities.

I’m curious how much federal funding he thinks the ACLU receives (it’s none).
