Mason's drinking problem has always lead him to making stupid decisions -- but it seems that's not gonna be a problem anymore!
Mason/Marzi is shyly trying to order an Ale at a tavern -- the barkeep takes it as a joke and is unconcerned, just worried the girl needs friends and attention. Text reads: "uh... e- excuse me? miss...?" "Hm? Oh! You're Missus Hannigan's girl, aren't ya! Well what'll it be? Got some darn good brunchberry juice in today!" "ah, i-is that so... well, actually, could I get a... uh, a- an ale?" "Ale? Hahaha! Nah no can do 'lil lady-- 'n' I'm sure you know well why!" As expected... but still, Mason had to give it a shot... "y-yeah... I just, I dunno... I was curious, I guess..." "s-sorry..." Mason was always a heavy drinker. He needed a good drink to get him through the day-- Any day, really. Everything was just so difficult to cope with, be it the desperately monotonous struggles him and his team went through to survive on the daily, to the aches and pains and scars from his fights, to the unending gloom of his own subconscious -- Mason found a solution to it all a long time ago: Blot it all out with some mind numbing liquors. His favourite was always a warm whiskey distilled from a mountain root -- He'd always have a flask on him. This had been, as he'd say, "One of those days" So when the opportunity presented itself, Marzi couldn't help but slink away from her group to a nearby tavern- only to run into the first, most obvious roadblock -- a bartender with even a modicum of responsibility. Seems those drinking days are over for Marzi. This had been such a rough day for her -- ever since the change she felt unusually... sensitive to things. Sure, even when she was Mason she could be plenty sensitive. But those were the times where he most longed to numb the feeling with a good drink, and just care about nothing and no-one for a good while. This- this was a whole other level though. Everything felt big and scary and way too loud and way too out of her control... at it's worst she felt like she could cry... It was constantly difficult for her to keep any kind of composure, and she was supposed to pretend this whole world changing thing wasn't... scary! But she was scared!! She was never a fan of change, and now... well, things couldn't have changed more... She'd flinch at even an unusual sound or smell, even the unfamiliar ruffle of her fur was distressing her... At least Mason had liked animals. But why animal people... "...But hey, ya know what" The barkeep said Marzi looked back up, startled -- she hadn't realised how saddened she must have looked "Triss at t' bakery next door's got a whole lot o' goodies that'll need throwin' out by tomorrah-" The Barkeep felt sorry for the poor girl --  lacking in confidence, she'd heard, and so easily overwhelmed. Kids do and say silly things all the time, that's not odd, she figured. What this girl clearly needs is patience. Empathy. "Why don't you tell 'er I sent ya, and I bet she'll let you and yer friends 'ave some!" "Oh? That'd... be nice?" ...It would, yeah. Yeah sure, why not. At the least it's an excuse to leave here. Quickly.

The kids gather around a tree house -- Kit is in the house and is excited, Rila looks peeved and Astrid looks to the side questioningly. Text reads: “We’re here, we’re here!!!” Kit scrambled his way up the treehouse “It’s our super duper cool  base!!!” This... confused Rila.  “Our base? You don’t say...” The way they’d gone from town was the exact path to their old base. They’d moved operations here after a warlock sent a horde of giant spiders through the mercs guild, destroying everything. The base was a ramshackle place that Brennan had put together in some old ruins – outside the town authority. So this is what became of it…  Astrid glanced over at the signs -- No Boys Allowed -- and was reminded of Brennan’s… weird insistence that women not be brought back to the base. “This is place for business”, he’d say. She considered pulling the signs down later. “We got spell books, adventuring gear and swords and junk… Oooh, and up there’s where we keep the sleeping bags so we can stay over!!” Kit sure did seem to know a lot… Which to Rila, begged the question: “How did you know this was even here?” Katarina was never a part of their group, she’d never met them or been here before – yet Kit led them right here. That was… strange? “Dunno! Anyway get up here and check it out!!” Astrid though, could have sworn there was something… missing… then realised -- “...Where the hell’d Mason go?”

Follow up! Our team of new heroes are (mostly) not happy with their predicament, and begin plotting to make the world normal again -- that's the hope anyway, they're gonna have to figure out exactly how things have changed around them first.
The adventurer kids are walking down a trail by a forest. Kit leads the way, looking very upbeat, marching along. Marzi is staring down at her skirt, which she is gently holding the hem of unfamiliarly. Rila, Brooke, and Astrid are conspiring at the back of the group with angry looks on their faces. Text: “Come on guys, town’s just up ahead!” – Though the spell hadn’t gone… quite how Kit had expected, things were clearly much much better this way, he figured! Obviously this was better than just destroying everything, and the world was much improved now that everything wasn’t so… grim and “gritty”. Besides, all that old knowledge of dark rituals had completely vanished from his head, so it wasn’t like he could turn everything back even if he tried. So since they were stuck this way, Kit figured they may as well have fun!   “Gods, he’s so annoying...” the others were just completely sick of hearing it. Katarina – or Kit, whatever – was the reason that they were all stuck looking like this, and it’s like he didn’t even care! How can he be okay with this!? But any time they’d rant at Kit, their rage would just bounce right off his chipper attitude, and they’d stopped trying a few hours ago. But luckily for them, Kit is very easily distracted-- so Brennan Brooke, Roderich Rila, and Adam Astrid started talking, plotting – they would find a way to turn the world back to normal. This was not how the world was *supposed* to be, they agreed – and if a spell could change the world this drastically, there had to be a way to turn it back. And themselves. Surely. Then they could go back to their normal lives – that’s the way it had to be.   There’s just one big hurdle: It doesn’t seem like even magic itself works the way it used to… none of them are familiar enough to know how to cast a single spell! So, where do they even start…?   The three of them didn’t notice that Mason Marzi wasn’t joining in on the talk though, and was looking especially crestfallen about the whole thing…

I realised that i'd never actually shared references of my new fursona, Tekki -- oops. Well here ya go, since i'm too tired to make new drawings lately, here's what I could put together in a very sane format.

Owen has not been acting the bully since his change-- not at all. The other kids just cannot take him seriously given his new sheepish appearance and magickal “Tree-hugger powers”. He's just very grumpy all the time.
At least he no longer needs to wear glasses.

A character sheet for “Owen”, a boy who was transformed into an anthro sheep. A fullbody picture shows he has long wooly white hair, green eyes, and greyish fur with darker gery markings like tattoos across his body. He has slanted droopy ears, hooves, and three fingered hands. He is wearing a fancy but antiquated looking head-dress, which looks like it is made of stone or perhaps metal. He look into the camera with a grumpy, perhaps impatient expression. Text says “Owen has always been a menace – he’s a bully, a slacker, and terriby selfish. One day at a school field trip to a museum of magickal relics, his class was shown a pagan artefact – a head-dress of sorts. Hundreds of years ago, this artefact would test an individual’s worthiness to inherit the powers of a “protector of nature”. However, Owen was only half paying attention.” A picture shows Owen before his change, a cocky looking brown-haired boy wearing glasses (his current appearance does not feature glasses). He says “Heheh- Suckers! Gonna get me some superpowers!” and he is putting on the artefact. In the next panel he is clearly surprised as the artefact activates and begins changing him, his glasses fly off, and bright green light beams from his eyes as he is granted great power. Text reads “The artefact was assumed to have become inert long ago. Apparently not.” All other pictures are of current (sheep) Owen. A picture shows Owen facing left and side eyeing the camera, with an angry expression, he says “It’s. OWEN. Doesn’t start with an “E”...jackass” A picture shows him looking worriedly at someone offscreen and saying “I-Is there any ways I can be like, like… UN-Chosen?” Another picture is paired with text which reads “Plants spring up from his hoofsteps while outside”, the picture shows Owen walking on a stone/concrete path, and sparkles and glowing accompanies his hoofsteps as grass and flowers rise up from where he stepped. He looks back at this with a fed up expression. Another picture shows Owen talking to someone offscreen saying “Can you arseholes stop staring!?” He has an annoyed expression as he scratches at his face absentmindedly. A picture shows the palm of his left hand, his three cloven fingers can be seen, as well as the dark grey markings, which rise up his arm to form a simple spiral on his palm. Two last panels show Owen testing out his powers. He is wearing a black band t-shirt with red text on in saying “BAND NAME”. He has a daisy in his hand which he just made appear there through magic, and his markings around his hand are glowing green, and glowing green streaks have appeared in his hair. He says “So after ALL that… THIS is what I get. Talking to animals. And making plants grow.” He looks at the flower with a displeased expression. He says “These powers are SO fucking gay.” He puts his hand down, and the streaks in his hair are gone as he lets the magick fade. He looks off to the side as he slumps down slightly with a grouchy expression. He says “Unbelievable...”

Four grizzled sellswords arrive just too late to halt a world-destroying spell
...but instead, it remakes the grim world into one of lighthearted fantasy—the group now re-cast as young (fluffy) adventurers

A great scientific discovery is all well and good until you find yourself recast into a totally different genre

A Furry Transformation Comic. A military funded scientist stands in front of a big conspicuous portal. He says "Thank you all for coming.. Today you will be witness to the first live test of our MetaTranslocation Gate, a means to connect our military interests to even farther fields -- that is, alternate realities. We hope this will open up a whole new avenue of resources and opportunities for our colonies" An audience claps and he seems slightly pissed at his predicament. Then lightning seems to strike the portal and there's an alarm as the scientist falls in. The scientist falls out of the other side of the portal, now a small mouse girl with a purple scarf, long braided ponytail, and dressed in rogueish clothes The portal on this new side is a magickal fantasy portal, with glowing runes and such. It's in some crumbled ruins in the forest at the top of a set of stone stairs, which momentum sends the girl quickly tumbling down, before splating into the mud and rain. She pushes herself up. The girl says "What the hell... is this?" at her surroundings while clutching her chest. The portal then suddenly shuts off behind her. "... UH-" she says with an instantly panicked expression. We then see the original Gate, broken down beyond repair. Three scientists comment "Fuck fuck FUCK! Defense is not gonna be happy. This is TRILLIONS- right down the drain!" - "No kidding. This one gate took years to build. Even with all we've learned... another might take just as long." - "Did he really fall in?? Damn, that'd push things back even further..." end
