The wording of this part of the new #NSFGRFP solicitation is confusing to me. Is this a list of potential BI in addition to IM? Or is this actually a part of IM?

Happy #PollinatorWeek from my mail box pollinator garden! The bees are loving the Monarda and Eryngium. Sunflowers will come up later in the summer behind the Monarda.

Celebrating (and flabbergasted) that somehow our lab has reached the milestone of 20 people!? Having so many undergrads (and a few high school students!) involved in our research has only strengthened it and allowed us to pursue fun side quests!

First trout lilly of the season! Observed at Panther Creek Trail in northern GA.

ha! Just like this one, which I use in my lecture to illustrate the principle of proportional ink
"bar graph" of heights of women in six countries, except the bars are illustrated as women's restroom silhouette figures. The y axis goes from 4'9" to 5'7". The effect is that of suggesting Latvian women are 6 times taller than Indian women.

Our roots are definitely not behaving nicely:

This is my favorite Little Guy from the National Palace Museum in Taiwan. It's a little guy that people served wine in from almost 2300 years ago! Look how round! And yes, I regret not getting a wee replica of this little guy when I visited NPM last year.

From the NPM website:　Zun wine vessel in the shape of animal with metal wire and turquoise inlay Length: 39.7 cm, Height: 28.5 cm This vessel takes the form of a sturdily standing four-legged hoofed animal, with raised ears, round eyes, four hoofed legs, and a dangling tail. The posture and musculature of the animal is realistically depicted. The work served as a wine vessel of the Warring States period, with the mouth of the animal serving as the spout, and an opening on the back with a removable lid that enabled wine to be replenished. The surface of the vessel is blackish-brown in color, interspersed with green. The vessel is adorned with silver threads that form angled cloud patterns, and is richly decorated with turquoise and gold and silver inlays. The face of the animal shows inlaid round gold eyes, and the bridge of the nose, the eyebrows, and the forehead are studded with turquoise. A circlet of inlaid gold encircles the neck, representing a collar. The lid on the back of the animal is decorated with dragon-shaped gold and silver inlays.

Gorgeous fall colors at Cloudland Canyon State Park this weekend. So glad to finally check it out after so long!

The platonic ideal of a tidy single level waterfall about 8m wide and 2-3 stories tall off a tree-covered ledge into a pool. Excited to wrap up harvesting our big ol' sorghum intraspecific plant-soil feedback experiment just before Thanksgiving! 🌾🌍🧪🦠

An anonymous artist left this pumpkin outside the Plant Science building and I love it so much!
A small pie pumpkin sitting in front of the base of a tree on a patch of moss. The whole thing is giving autumnal witch energy.
