I'm just wondering, if they *were* Soviet assets, what would they be doing differently?

It is a reprehensible plan intended only for Trump to claim he achieved peace while cooking business deals with Russia. All it achieves is total surrender. The most repulsive government since Neville Chamberlain. Worse than Chamberlain since his surrender was at least partly his own country.

This is lining-their-pockets carried to an extreme. What would Toqueville have said?
Dem Sen. Gary Peters (Mich.) took2the floor after Graham spoke to accuse R colleagues of trying to line their own pockets.
“They snuck in, in the dark of night, a provision at the last minute that would allow them to basically line their pockets,” Peters said.

"The U.S. government is no longer a reliable source of information. The consequences of this corruption will ripple through American society for years."
Politicians exaggerate, distort, and lie all the time. This is—however regrettable—an accepted part of our democratic politics. But until 2025, it was assumed that important, apolitical government agencies did *not* lie. www.thebulwark.com/p/is-rfk-jr-...
