I wonder, What was the time scale when @erinbiba.bsky.social was suspended & restored? Was there a lag between her “offending” post & her suspension, & what was the duration of her suspension. Was she suspended for the full duration per her notification, or was that commuted to something shorter?

I’ve had experience with online communities for Jesus, 3 decades now? And I believe in this point 100%, if not 1000%. This is possibly the most important thing, but it scales poorly.

… doesn’t scale, and the fact it took them a month to respond says they’re in the weeds as it is. They apparently have neither the tools nor the staffing to do a good job, so I expect a lot of these stupid moderation outcomes going forward. It sucks, but they are ill equipped to do otherwise.

I know there are cleaning tablets that some people use to soak their reusable cups and accessories, but I’m not ready to go down that path. Also not sure it’s really necessary.

I do a superficial clean after every use (I don’t usually clean under the seal, nor do I scrub the straw with a pipe cleaner). Maybe I should do this nightly when I brush my teeth.

I’ve had my thing for months, and this was the first time I cleaned inside the straw, the first time I pried out the silicone seal. Reader, I was shook. There was way more gross crud I cleaned away than expected. I’m going to start doing this weekly, and even then that may not be frequent enough.
