The problem here might be that political scientists and strategists are often indistinguishable.
European political scientists are blue in the face from constantly pointing out that accommodating the far right does not help centre-left parties win, and contributes to the rise of far-right parties. There's a mountain of data to support that.

The problem here might be that political scientists and strategists are often indistinguishable.

Monograph yet to be written: Marx and French historians of his time. Wildly difficult, excruciating work, no wonder we have none to this day (to my knowledge at least, if you know, please do share the title). If I could return in time and do a PhD again, that is what I would write about.

Reading this in dismay. Hoping it won't, but then, in today's world of insanity and democracy broken, it would really not be surprising, in which case I could expect to be deported- for not earning enough and not receiving any state assistance i.e. social benefits. Tories really helping Farage.
