I've always strictly drawn one piece at the time to not have anything unfinished but I experimented this recently and I loved it. I was feeling tired drawing details on a piece so I started a new one with no details at all, just broad brush strokes. I went back to the first one feeling so refreshed
My method for not burning myself out while drawing is to have multiple pieces at the same time. When I'm stuck on one artwork I can switch to the other and still make progress. Even if its just one little brush stroke. This way drawing became more casual.
