#WW2 Then and Now of the American Cemetery of Port Lyautey. On November 8th 1942, 9.000 men of the 9th US Infantry Division landed in Port Lyautey during Operation Torch. The French garrison reacted. The fighting lasted 3 full days. 76 Americans were killed, and were buried there until the 1950s.
