We are on Native land. They/Them. Cat lover. Crafter. Folk and courtly dancer. Navigating ADHD. Disabled. Pursuing a Bachelor’s of Social Work. House witch. Mostly an indoor cat.
After trying and failing to do a regular google search for this markings, this is what an image search turned up. I don’t know if it will help at all, but maybe it will give you an idea of where to look for more information in the pattern instructions. Good luck!

The capelet, modeled by its new owner. A green variegated wool worked with a 4.0 mm hook in pineapple stitches, single and double crochets, cells, triangles, and a leaf panel. The fasteners are also crocheted, and there is only one start and end for the piece.

A fortune cookie fortune almost anyone would welcome:

Progress photos on my draft-as-I-go shawl-turned-capelet! I’ve been crocheting it with a 4.0 mm, or F hook in Araucania nature wool, a hand-dyed wool in variegated greens. The theme is leaves & plant cells. New details include an entirely crocheted loop & button closure, & front panels.

One of my moms is glazing a yarn bowl for me, but in the meantime, I have a spooky season alternative! 🧶💀🌹

This… is not turning out how I wanted it to. Debating frogging the whole experiment. This is a crocheted draft as I go shawl, and as you can probably see, it’s created a distinct curve as I’ve decreased the rows substantially. I started with a straight line of 300 stitches, fingertip to fingertip.

Just pulled all the pins from my French twist, so my waist-length hair is currently holding in place by friction and hair spray (The gold Pantene hair spray, if you’re wondering) - I don’t expect this to last long, so I had to get evidence.

Only had to redo one row (so far)! Drafting as I go is fun, and I’m so glad I had Mom’s help to start this shawl ❤️

I’m listening to Heat Wave by TJ Klune. I’ve picked up spinning and weaving and am super proud of my entirely hand sewn, reed boned pair of bodies, pictured here.

I forgot to do the thing last week, so I started (& finished) early this week. Behold: buttonhole loops have been sewn to my hat so I can pin it to my hair! #handsewing 🪡🧶🧵

Okay, time lapses are fun. I did another for a denim patch using an adapted sashiko method. Not quite as meditative as my usual sashiko-esque style, which is slower and about making the stitches and spaces even and offset.

Slowly but surely repairing this lovely but moth eaten Pendleton blanket, one hole at a time.

This gem was deposited in my TikTok inbox by what appears to be a classic cis het white man. I am speechless. Where to even start?

Love is: curling up near your person just to be close. He parks himself near me wherever I am at home, on the arm of the couch, on the bathroom rug, and next to me on the pillow. If I can’t handle his weight on my chest, he’s still close by. ❤️ #sirgilesiii #cats #catsky #catsofbluesky

Mending this week was mostly with the Speedweve as I tried to figure out how to do it for the camera on the request of my professor. I repaired a tear at the neck gusset of my smock with a speedweve repair inside & out, sandwiching the damaged material. Then I darned the wool blanket a couple ways.

Did some more spinning this evening, in merino wool color-way “whirled peas.”

I also spun some very artsy yarn (read: it’s thick and thin, but not consistently) on my new drop spindle!

Some of my textile adventures from this week: Backpack strap repair, 3 twill weaving sample sections, and darning holes in a plaid Pendleton blanket. 🧶🪡🧵

Home with the sweet boi and his very dilated eyes, sans two teeth his gums were trying to reabsorb. He’s such a good, sweet boi, they made a note of it in his chart and gave him extra snuggles 🥰 #sirgilesiii #catsky #catsofbluesky #cats

It is done! My essential foundation garments are assembled BEFORE the 2025 MNRF performing season has begun!

Weaving happened today! I did some herringbone twill and small offset flowers in twill (hard to see in person under tension, easier to see in the thumbnail for some reason), and learned how to read drafts and translate them from treadling with tie-ins into lift plans for my 4-shaft table loom!

After this one, I have 2 more tabs left and I can be done with the bane of my existence that are these stupid corners.
