Our Quizmaster Scott lined up the switches and took us through a gauntlet of questions that tested (and ultimately improved!) participants transit knowledge from stations, railroad history and even a bit of cartography thanks to the Dennis McClendon Memorial Round.

Michael is a transportation planner and analyst at Cambridge Systematics, specializing in applying data/geospatial analytics and planning to transit, bike, pedestrian, strategic planning, and economic analysis projects.
Our next Board Member Feature is Michael Dunst, Vice Chair of Programming for the 2025 season! Michael is a transportation planner and analyst at Cambridge Systematics, specializing in applying data/geospatial analytics and planning to transit, bike, pedestrian, strategic planning, and economic analysis projects. He moved from Philadelphia to Chicago in 2024 after finishing his Master of City Planning at the University of Pennsylvania. While he misses the ample transit and rail service along the Northeast Corridor, he appreciates the bountiful opportunities to stare out over our beautiful inland freshwater ocean and build character walking through snow. Outside of transportation (which, to be fair, also takes up lots of his free time), he enjoys exploring the city (especially by bike), staying active, watching interesting movies, and playing piano and saxophone. Originally from Milwaukee, he is now a Brewers/Bucks/Packers fan in enemy territory. Being a part of YPT is valuable to Michael for its opportunities to have low-stakes chances to network with peers, have a closer relationship to his professional interests and new hometown, and meet some of the other most passionate advocates for better transportation systems out there.
