Some news!! @repjohnnyo.bsky.social has introduced the FIND Housing Loss Act of 2025, enabling leaders for the first time to track housing loss through a national rate similar to unemployment. @newamerica.org has advocated for this over the last 2 yrs. 🧵 olszewski.house.gov/media/press-...

Thank you to the law schools below for speaking up. Shame on the elite law schools who were too cowardly to sign.
Dean Chemerinsky and other #lawschool deans "speak as legal educators, responsible for training the next generation of lawyers, in condemning any government efforts to punish lawyers or their firms based on the identity of their clients or for their zealous lawful and ethical advocacy."

Analysis by @maryalicemcc.bsky.social of why firing 15,000 feds is both evil and dumb. TLDR: Eliminating 10 percent of the federal workforce won't make govt more efficient. It'll just make it less effective and more partisan.

Talk about pulling no punches. This work by @kevincarey1.bsky.social and New America's Education Policy Program lays out in stark terms, the stakes of harming the Dept. of Education. These are the things that must be said, loudly. 👏 👏 👏

A FEMA shutdown would significantly ↗️ domestic climate migration. But how to ensure climate migrants move to resilient parts of the country, instead of the next town over? In this @milkeninstitute.org article, @trobustelli.bsky.social and I offer a few thoughts:

Shutting down USAID is not about efficiency—it’s about undermining America’s global leadership. USAID counters extremism, fights diseases, and creates more markets for U.S. exports. This is reckless and dangerous.

Yes, LA should pass an eviction moratorium! But why must every disaster-stricken jdx fight this fight? Lahaina fought and won a moratorium. Asheville fought for one, didn't get it. We need federal policy that pauses #evictions after natural disasters. #LAfires

Exciting to see this WH plan for #community relocation from #climate threats! RN managed retreat is expensive 💲, reactive 🏃‍♂️, and inequitable ⚖️. This is a new paradigm to get millions of Americans out of harms way. @sidersadapts.bsky.social @aaweber.bsky.social!
