Earlier this week we saw blatant anti-Chinese racism from one of Labour's MPs right here in Glasgow, while the political establishment fawned over his use of biscuits to talk down to the public. Your Party will stand up to all forms of racism, supporting the thousands of Chinese people in Glasgow.

It will soon be a month since Your Party got its first councillors in Glasgow. In October, Seonad Hoy, Dan Hutchison and Leodhas Massie defected from the Scottish Greens, giving us three councillors on Glasgow City Council. It’s been a busy month for the trio: appearing at their first Full Council; winning new seats at the table for trade unions at the council; forming a Councillor Liaison Group (CLG) with the branch to work going forward; even challenging the SFA on Scotland hosting Israeli footballers. Now, they are hosting their first Councillors’ Assembly with Your Party Glasgow members and supporters, and we want you to join us. At this event we will discuss potential motions to Glasgow City Council that our three councillors could take forward, and the decision on which one of these is submitted will be put in your hands. This will also be a chance for you to meet Glasgow’s biggest ever group of socialist councillors in person, discuss how we can work together as a branch and councillor group, and how we work best for everyone in Glasgow. Call for Facilitators Volunteer now yourpartyglasgow@gmail.com To make the regional assemblies the best they can be, we need around 30 volunteer facilitators across the in-person events and the online assembly. We’re particularly keen to hear from folk with facilitation and note taking skills to volunteer, as they’re likely to be lively events. We’ll be running a quick session on either Thursday or Friday early evening online to go through the facilitation plan, so would be massively helpful if you can be available for this too. Please get in touch if you’re able to help out. Your Party co-leader to join Glasgow Regional Assemblies Socialist MP and co-founder of Your Party Jeremy Corbyn will be joining us for our Regional Assemblies in Glasgow next weekend. Like all of us, Jeremy is very keen to ensure this new party is as democratic as possible, and members’ voices are heard. Join us and Jeremy across the city on Saturday, November 15th. Glasgow REGIONAL ASSEMBLIES NOVEMBER 15th & 16th This is Your Party BOOK NOW yourparty.uk/assemblies KEY INFO Your Party Glasgow will host Regional Assemblies bringing together party members from across Glasgow and the West of Scotland. These gatherings on Saturday 15th November are a space to discuss, debate, and refine drafts of Your Party’s founding documents. The outcomes from these assemblies will be fed back to the national team. We’ll also take time to focus on sections of the documents that speak to Scottish democracy and autonomy. In line with our commitment to accessibility and participation, we’re holding three assemblies across the city on the same weekend - so more voices can be heard. We’re planning on having three in-person events around the city, for maximum and meaningful impact.
