Hey friend, I appreciate giving complexity to characters that represent a different religion. This broad brush means merely to invoke those that used their power in a discriminatory fashion. Obviously all did not do this (Jn 3; Acts 5:34ff), but many did and Christians kept that formula (Acts 15:5)
