Might be somewhere near a thunderstorm on a 2% day in West-Central Ohio ⛈️

Hello! I’m from the place where “Ope” is used daily, spent over a decade in the cable industry, and been a weather spotter in #Dayton for over three decades.

I mainly stick with Radar analysis and risk, managing a private network of wx cameras, and stressing out about my sportsball team.
Pre-ordering #Switch2 was 62 minutes of a queue. The tech wasn’t like Ticketmaster where you get a live progress report.

It was just “wait”, and nothing else.

Got tired and cleared cache, refreshed, and it immediately let me buy it. 😒

I can’t believe I’m saying Ticketmaster does something better.

Large open warm sectors usually end up with messy surprises within them. Don’t associate large square mileage as a slam dunk forecast.

We enjoying these new transparent, minimalist, sticker-style graphics from FOX?

Less is more, IMO. I like it without unnecessary backgrounds.

Previously, I disliked the large fonts. Now that I use the YouTubeTV multiview on a regular basis, I understand the need for those large fonts.

Seen a lot of alerts in my time, but I cannot recall PDS attached to a Red Flag Warning.

That’s some verbiage…

Growing up a little kid, watching CBS at Grandma’s house because she’d let me stay up late to watch the flex feed of #MarchMadness with Greg Gumbel.

Greg was the first sportscaster I can recall being part of my life, and he will be missed.
Sports broadcaster Greg Gumbel has died at the age of 78, CBS Sports announced.

Gumbel worked at CBS Sports as a play-by-play announcer and studio host for their college basketball and NFL broadcasts.

I know we’re only 75 minutes into TNT Sports existence in the College Football Playoff, but I already think Zas overpaid for this sublease. @ourand.bsky.social

FOX using the Super Bowl LIX lead-out spot to premiere Season 3 of The Floor is such a great idea.

Here is today's CPC 8-14 Day Outlook for temperatures. This is the first 90% probability region on an 8-14 Day temperature map since the one issued Jan 23, 2024 - and the largest 90% area since the map issued Dec 7, 2021. 🔥

America loves their sportsball 😉
Fox Sports: 38.5 million households tuned in to watch some or all of the Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants football game on Thanksgiving Day, "the most-watched NFL telecast this regular season on any network."

The game peaked at 41.3 million viewers from 6 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. ET, per Nielsen data.

Figured out how to update the handle to @yofritts.com, instead of a @bsky.app handle 👌

For folks in Dayton, Cincinnati, or Columbus who wish to follow an excellent weather bot for the region, go to @iln.weather.im

It pushes a lot of info on a busy day, but it’s the best @bsky.app automated weather resource across Central, Western, & Southwest Ohio

@akrherz.bsky.social is fantastic
bender from futurama is shown in a cartoon with his mouth open
Alt: Bender from futurama is shown in a cartoon with his mouth open… as its father, Daryl, programs it to push important regional weather information to users on the Blue Sky platform. Okay, maybe that second part isn’t completely accurate based on the image, but let’s pretend it could be.
