Curious.
Backroads, photography, mysteries.
I look for unique takes/personal exchanges/puns/plants/pictures.

If your acct is huge & primarily American politics, unlikely to FollowBack.

Someone shld tell their leader that provoking 'concerns' and 'anxieties' aren't FACTS.
Provoking and spreading rumours/concerns/anxieties instead of facts is called . . . disinformation.

Fascinating.
I had no knowledge of carving bodhi nuts so I went down the rabbit hole.
One site posted this and now I've even more questions . . .

It was the image below that I noticed on BlueSky when I was replying to you that struck me - it seemed that the bird wasn't as close to the center but further left and more like the 'Rule of Thirds'???
Curious how photographers 'guts' help them edit their photos to make them pleasing to their eyes.

@jayispainting.earthskyart.ca
I see at least one acct posting prices of their craft that they're showing photos of.
How firm are you on 'do not post prices on the site'.

I'd hate to see this become 'just another place to sell crafts/art'.

I learned new words today, thanks.

Are you aware of world wide #ArtAdventCalendar taking place Dec 1-Dec 24 annually? 2025 it's been trending on BlueSky.
Background:
www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
Might you consider posting something to that?
You have much that others cld be inspired by/learn from - and maybe give you some ideas as well?
December 4, 2025 at 4:11 PM
Jay is the "organizer" as well as the "originator" of this annual event. Note Alt Text is heavily encouraged for those posting.

Huzzah!
I love wintery images, and yours in black and white is stunning!
Thanks to Kate Gunn last year, I now can describe ppl like us as 'Chinophiles'.

Who's of an age that they remember Jacques Plante's knitting?
Practical art of knitting is appreciated by ppl like me, who lack Eric's skill/patience. Art can be simple or complex, reminding me of 2024 #ArtAdventCalendar item by Heidi Nick.

Positive news for Canadians? Maybe he'll leave?
"I'm disappointed that I came to Canada. . . "
Not HALF as disappointed as Cdns are with him!

For the luva any possible future relationship with U.S., get Hoekstra the Hell out of Canada then, the old poop.

Whether the concept was to snark about AI data centre energy usage or not, Stelmach DOES nail it. Data centres use too much energy/too much water.
Let areas with an overabundance of water take those centres.

Friends/family in Stratford & area, 40 min fr KW.
Are you familiar w C2G2?
www.waterloochronicle.ca/opinion/shou...
We oggle crafts fr there when in KW area.
Terrific affordable restaurants at 'not oil&gas city' pricing.

Envy yr current BC gov. "You don't know what you've got til it's gone"😬

Well, at least they're starting with crappy AI tools and whiskey, instead of something really important.

AI 'averages' out the good and the bad, leaving us with half arsed decision making fr people who were raised to believe in the quality of the report making made by real people.

I'm not as far into the Canister Damascus 'hole' as Ryanando posted, but wow . . .
I know what I'll be reading about today.

Fuzzy nails it.
I think it may have been John Prine/Kris Kristofferson combo who wrote/sang. . .

My new Sunday game: going into my text files and chortling over other ppl's posts from years ago.

Somebody spotted a coyote in my neighborhood a few days ago. But it's cool, cause I just started carrying an anvil around everywhere I go.

I was unaware "Elton John's #1 hit song "Philadelphia Freedom" was written for Billie Jean King."
Wikipedia has this to say:

And the 'regular' prices aren't much more.
Student prices are about the same as geezer prices for a season.
FANTASTIC hall for acoustics and sight lines tool.
GRAND organ pipes show up above the choral seating at the front of the Jack Singer Hall.

I catch your drift but gosh I think Calgarians who go to the performances DO know how lucky we are.
AND THE PHIL PLUS CHOIRS PUT ON 3 EVENINGS OF XMASY MUSIC IN DECEMBER AT THE GORGEOUS WOOD EMBELLISHED Grace Presbyterian Church.
Guests semi-surround the orchestra & can be arm's reach from players!

Somehow, a double post telling stories like this should be able to be seen all at once, rather than showing up as a mini thread. This by @kriswernowsky.com .
Sad that such good people as the recipe baker were preyed upon by the likes of Swaggart and old time religious Sunday media types.

Sometimes comments deserve their own entire post, rather than just passed by as a sidebar to an original post.

This, by @melissawoodruff.bsky.social regarding the harsh realities of Xmas stories in the 19th Century - before the 'joyful' commercialism of modern Xmas stories.

So, you live in Alberta, and your 'municipal' tax bill comes in.
WOW! What an increase!

But did you know that A LARGE PROVINCIAL TAX HIDES IN THE MUNICIPAL BILL?
And our municipalities have no choice but to include it in our 'city tax' bill?

Stompin' Tom Connor's old line of "We'll save a lot of money spending money we don't got."
To 'save' using a discount you still have to pony up anywhere between 50-90% of the original list price of something.
I'm enjoying my vacays in Canada. Interesting ppl. GORGEOUS scenery. Fewer arrogant LEOs.

eMail from Hotrodder Buddy.
Often 100 Canadian hot rodders, including himself/partner go to USA for one of the hot rod shows.
This year he heard thru the grapevine that only THREE Canadians showed up at the show.
Well done, Canucks!
Instead they toured Western Canada!
