Following this cool video showing how to create a complete #pixelart tileset using only 5 tiles. I made my own, not very good but I had fun
www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWcC...

Mine has 9 tiles because of the grass on top. Could have been done with 8 but it would have required to use 2 layers in #Godot

Got distracted and I started a new letter based puzzle game. In this one you simply have to find the 7 words, I am already doing my dailies even tho the game is not out yet. #gamedev

Finally figured out how to use animation node state machine and the "advance_expression" to avoid managing the playback and the parameters all over the code. Couldn't find a quick tutorial on it, so here's a short (mute) video showing how it works.

Continuing with boids NPC behavior. The red ones stay away as a group (they will shoot in patterns) and the green one are more interested in rushing the enemy (the cursor for now).

Prototyping a duck fighting game in #godot
One click control for both attack and defense. Starting to be fun to play, I need to work on the IA or "just" make it multiplayer.

A good #gamedev tip to add some extra juice to your game is the 'No Teleportation Rule'. Elements in your game should never just pop into place. Instead, use easing on position, opacity, or scale for a juicier feel. #godot

Making this "looking up" tech with both the boom and the camera pitching depending of the angle took more time that I care to admit but it's totally worth it when you spend a lot of time looking around. #gamedev #unrealengine5
