Agree. We should plan to completely replace the entire Republican party and the vast majority of Dems in congress. We need a lot of new, fiery people to step up and run for office against the fascists. Ever wanted to be a senator? Now is a good time to try it.

Because the Republicans sabotaged it. They have been trying to get rid of it for years. It was affordable until they managed to destroy its mandate. And then the premiums skyrocketed.

I don't know if you've noticed, but most of the "morality" that the Right loves isn't in the Bible. For example, the Bible is quite clear that abortion is not murder (says exactly that) and that life begins at birth. Their morality comes from a twisted version of the Puritans.

No. Socialism is when the government owns businesses. You know, like when Trump had the government buy 10% of Intel? THAT is socialism. Giving money to taxpayers is just another government service. Not much different than SNAP or welfare.

The subsidies have already disappeared, and not quietly. Enrollment for next year started Nov. 1. Everyone has already noticed they are gone and blamed the Republicans. And now they will blame the Democrats when they remain gone as of Jan. 1, when millions of people will have no healthcare.

No need to just suffer. Eventually, we will stop waiting for "the system" to save us and we'll have to storm the WH and do it ourselves.

Are there any actual laws about swearing in MoC? A lot of the rules of Congress are just custom. What happens if the second Mikey opens Congress, she pushes him out of the way and recites the oath and then just takes her seat?

It is very obvious that it was many of them. They deliberately picked 8 who aren't up for election in 2026. They think the voters are morons: oh, they won't remember anything for more than two seconds.
