I did a new set of subtitles for Arrow's just announced release of Peking Opera Blues coming next year. This one required taking certain creative risks to properly match the film's tone and energy (so I guess we'll see if that pays off).

Culture was never the same after this. I believe culture grows and changes like an organism and SOPHIE, as an artist, crystallized so many indescribable elements of it with this body of work. We are STILL reeling from the impact and I dont think the dust has settled yet.

looking into the article, important part to it is this was initiated by italian unions, making it possible to organize such action at all. which reinforces for what and why such union restrictions exist in america. keeping labor down doesn't just generate wealth, it also suppresses other movements.
