I was just at a model train show this last weekend. They had modular layouts from many scales. But the N and Z scale layouts were the ones that I liked best. These pics were taken on the N gauge modular layout.

The clouds kept getting heavier and heavier as the eclipse progressed. As total hit, it was very cloudy and for most of totality, the corona was obscured by clouds. We caught a few glimpses of it here and there, but it was far less than a great eclipse.

So, my friend and I went to Lampasas, Texas to see the eclipse.The predictions were that it would be a good choice for clear skies. Didn’t work out that way. The picture here was taken just about the time of first contact, and you can see it’s not bad But as the eclipse progressed, it got worse.

Yes yes yes! If you are close to the Eclipse, but not in the area of Totality, GO! It is SO MUCH BETTER to see the Total eclipse.
