Just read a post from an old friend on FB where he shared a Fox News link on Elon Musk and said this is exactly what he wanted when he voted for Trump. Sigh. Turns out the only person blinder than him is me. I’m the fool who believed people would stand up for each other. Turns out I was wrong.

The ability to support someone or something blindly and without question is a heck of a thing. And yes, I have just gotten done looking at friends on FB spinning the White House meeting yesterday in a way to make 47 and the VP out as heroes. Such delusion!

Jesus and his disciples were rebuked for enjoying themselves while advancing the kingdom of God. They worked hard, and their journey was not easy, but they still celebrated and enjoyed life. We have permission to do this too, in every season. Sometimes celebration is protest.
