I get passed by a hundred potential murderers every day on my bike commute.

Houston’s mayor decided to take away signal priority for the Red Line rail through downtown, forcing it to stop at traffic lights to wait for cars.
This is literally the opposite of the point of mass transit.

Hey #Houston make sure you vote AGAINST Prop 12 on the ballot because fuck this guy and his cronies.

Hey #Houston, get the hell out and #VOTE for Jordan Thomas for At-Large Position 4!
(and other important stuff too)
Hit me up if you need a voting guide for candidates & the Props.

it baffles me how many people drive around in the dark completely oblivious that their lights are off.

I busted out the little red dot for Squeaks last week and now every time I walk towards the cabinet by the stairs where I keep the laser pointer she runs to this step and starts squeaking for play time.

watch me blow by these chumps in cars waiting in line before jumping to hyperspace for the next few miles of my #BikeCommute weeeeeeeee!

in stark contrast to the high speed close pass from a pickup towing a huge trailer last week;
here’s an A+ pass from a driver who slowed down enough to let there be room in the left lane so he could give ample space when passing me.
all it took was an extra 3 seconds.

this family was just trying to make it from the playground back to the neighborhood.
a ditch on 1 side; 45mph traffic on the other—with no protection from either.
Houston’s mayor thinks this is fine.
can you believe people actively opposed a plan to make this a buffered 10’ multi-use path?

why would we design school zones to look safe and attractive with fun mobility for students when we can have this instead?!?!?

#Houston safe passing ordinance:
•3’ for cars
•6’ for trucks/commercial vehicles
This driver gave neither, with his giant trailer coming even closer.
All to pull across the bike lane into a turn lane—instead of just slowing down and going safely behind me.
Video is 1/4 speed.

never let them tell you ‘cars = freedom.’
it’s a lie.
it’s something drivers tell themselves to justify the expense of car ownership & hours lost sitting in traffic.
if the same number of bikes were backed up as cars shown here, it’d take up the same amount of space as only 4 or 5 cars.

another driver not waiting their turn, assuming they can bully a bike out of their way.
she came within inches of clipping my bars; and with a 1,000 lumen headlight flashing in her face she 100% saw me & decided she didn’t care.
