so follow the liars

As the first export approaches, flaring is even greater at LNG Canada in Kitimat than it was a couple of weeks ago. Plus, there's two of them now. This photo is from 5 kilometers away, and the flaring is faintly audible. At least the smoke is drifting away from town.

Interesting juxtaposition here

LNG Canada methane compressor facility in Kitimat this morning sending black smoke into town. According to LNG Canada website, "Flaring is a safe outlet for natural gas and is provincially regulated."

This fire, a stone's throw from Flin Flon, a town of 5,000 people, will destroy the town if the winds change as predicted today. Meanwhile, BC, Ontario, and Canadian governments are introducing legislation to fast-track oil and gas development. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

The case in Canada for oil and gas pipelines to supply Asia gets worse again this year. When will we learn? We can't bet our future on a *scheduled* dwindling demand for O&G. carboncredits.com/china-sets-c...

Had about a half-litre of homemade red lentil dahl (I like it thick) and some cheddar cheese laying around. Took 250ml of macaroni, cooked it al dente, mixed it in with the dahl and did an au gratin dish. Yum! Cheap eats! #FoodSky

Many thought-provoking stories in this anthology speculating about future events given the current US admin. Even throws in a few faeries and dragons! Includes stories from award-winning authors such as David Gerrold and Adam-Troy Castro. My favourite though was "Little Boxes" by Jacy Morris.

I thought my dog was worried about my driving, but no. As it turns out it was the raw logs leaving the country that had him all worked up.

He doesn't trust my driving.

JFC, some old white guy dies and parliament shuts down for a day. Hundreds of starving Palestinians are shot by IDF while crowding around an aid truck, and parliament says "Meh, maybe in a coupla weeks"
