An avid rocker chick, who dabbles in nostalgia and also loves Girls Aloud a little bit too much! Trans rights, now and forever. Rhyddid i Balesteina 🇵🇸
Weekly Welsh word:

Bwysig - important
Bwysicach - more important

"Mae'n neis bod yn bwysig, ond mae'n bwysig bod yn neis"

"It's nice to be important, but it's important to be nice".

This is a strawberry from a punnet that I bought from Home Bargains. It's got little nubby legs! The legs actually come from uneven pollination, that's the actual scientific reason for its amusing shape.

If you're in South Wales and want to stand up for trans rights. There's a march in Cardiff on the 21st of April. Organised by Trans Aid Cymru, now more than ever, we need to show up for the trans community.

Reverse psychology works wonders! I am internally howling with laughter at this. Oh, jeez.. why does that remind me of that one character from Mars Attacks? Just waiting for her to go "ack ack" now.

Am I the only one who can see that?

Also, today's song choice is courtesy of the Mancunian jazz/funk band Jamiroquai! Let's get groovy!

Happy Tuesday, and here's a lovely reminder! Anyone who holds bigoted, fascistic and neo-Nazi views is not welcome on my profile. So, here's your two minute warning. It's human decency, and setting boundaries.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out, love.

It's been ages since I've posted anything I've been listening to. So, here is a long overdue Tuesday Tunes Day post.

With the beautiful vocals of the late Dolores O'Riordan, here are The Cranberries with "Linger" from their 1993 album "Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?"

Happy Tuesday, here's a tune for you!

Buck Rogers - Feeder.

PS: "I think we're gonna make it" is a painfully obvious title for this song, and that was what their record label almost made them title it. If you listen closely, after the chorus, you can faintly hear the words "Buck Rogers".

Happy Tuesday Tunes Day! Last one of 2024! Wow, I haven't done this in a while, but here's a special one. Physical media absolutely rocks my world, nothing beats the feeling of a CD. Here are two fabulous albums. "ANIMA" by CELAVI, an awesome rock band from North Wales + "RAFOAMP"* by Chappell Roan.

Here's the Mari Lwyd. Mounted on a pole by someone hidden under a sheet. It would go from house to house, and occupants of the houses would have to deny it entry by singing to it. If failing to do so, a team of people and horse would be go into the houses and ransack the food and drinks.

I'm a bit late to this but surely it's not supposed to be "Cyrmu". 😂

Cyrmu ma bith! (I'm joking, it's "Cymru am byth)

One of their columnists wrote a weird article about a singer from a popular band in the UK. Gist of this was that she made a theory about his death not being from natural causes, and pinning it on him being gay. Despite the contrary from coroners.

when it was run in the 30s, their owner was pals with Mussolini and Hitler. Currently isn't known for being tactful with how they cover wars and geopolitical issues. Wikipedia doesn't cite DM as a reliable source either, due to the sensationalism of their articles.

This is supposed to be scary, but it just looks really silly, probably the crappy CGI! Is that supposed to be Dracula? This is going on my Halloween film list! 😂

From "Van Helsing" (2004) directed by Stephen Sommers, the guy who directed The Mummy.

Here's another! Gershon Kingsley - Popcorn

You could class this as the first techno song if you really wanted! This particular version is the Hot Butter remix from 1972. 🍿

Happy Tuesday Tunes Day! Today's recommendation is "Oxygene 4" by Jean Michel Jarre. All the way from 1976!

A slightly premature "Tuesday Tunes Day" post, here's a little taster! Please, Please, Please by Sabrina Carpenter! 💕 A delightful song that reminds me of a mix between Jolene by the inimitable Dolly Parton and Only You by Yaz/Yazoo.
