I'm very excited to share the cover of my forthcoming collection of fourteen essays on Cluniac monasticism, which Cornell UP will publish in January 2026. The cover image is from fol. 1v of Angers BM 820, an eleventh-century compilation of texts related to the cult of Abbot Maiolus of Cluny.

In my “Monsters, Magic, and the Undead” course, students do a creative assignment as well as more traditional writing assignments and the results are often amazing. Projects include drawings, paintings, sculpture, music, board games, etc. These students have so many hidden skills.

This morning I submitted the manuscript for "World Mythologies: Dragons" to Scholastic Books. This book is an anthology of twelve stories about dragons in world history for young readers. Look for it at Scholastic book fairs in September 2024!
