This First Thursday will be my last market of the season. If you're in Portland, you should stop by for a vibrant street gallery full of local artists and makers! The stret gallery is on NW 13th in The Pearl District between NE Hoyt and Kearney.

Eurovision has recently unveiled a mascot, Lumo. My opinion of Lumo hinges entirely on whether Lumo behaves like Gritty (chaos goblin, into it) or Pit Pat (unsettlingly positive tenderqueer vibes, not into it).

Give people hope, and then prove to them that hope is not misplaced. After taking a stand, I've been asked if I'm worried about my career prospects. But I didn't run for city council as a stepping stone to the next big thing. I thought this was the right place for me to be at this moment in history. Questions about my career prospects reveal a fundamental misunderstanding of what we're experiencing. Taking cautious votes to save your seat in two years assumes we'll still have a democracy in which to run if we don't take a stand now. I'm under no such illusions. Democrats need to put everything on the line to protect that future.
