Next on the docket: I also got the replacement voltage regulators for my Sil3112s, gonna be interesting to see if those actually work and make these AliExpress SATA cards more stable.

That’s actually what I JUST had to go through with a 7000…quite literally several minutes ago. It’ll “work” but you need to install drivers prior to installing the card or it’s deader than a door nail. Only by changing the ROM like you did will it work.

Gonna do the same with the 9200 too.

Anyway yeah this Radeon 9200 PCI I’ve had in my collection forever, attempted to flash it a while back and failed but now I have the means to recover it. Got a bit farther than I did, but the 9200 drivers in OS 9 aren’t picking up the card so it’s stuck at 256 colors/480p.

Hmm.

Just download more RAM!

It’s…interesting because I feel like if I don’t stay in my lane here (talking about retro stuff) I actively lose followers whenever I say something.
