I’m a big fan of these films from the 50s through the 70s. The sweet spot (maybe?) ends with Donner’s “The Omen” in 76 but this one came in a couple of years prior.

Clearly went by several different titles.

Absolute icon.

He and his bandmates changed everything for the better in the stand against the mundane and this news really makes me sad.

Rest easy, Sir, and thank you for everything.

I myself have never had an “Egyptian Feast” but I have to be honest: I’m dubious of the safety of such a thing and I do not trust this Fuad Ramses.

I really love this movie and this type of horror. Eggers delivered on this one in ways I felt I had been waiting my whole life for.

As far as talk at school before class went, this one was a biggie in 6th grade after it aired. It was torture to have to wait till lunch to rant about it even more with your pals.

There are a million tamperings his work has had on my DNA, not the least of which is his work with Dan Curtis. If my influences had a Jurassic Park style laboratory with people doing all of the tinkering on all of the stuff, Richard Matheson would be the lead scientist.

Celebrating the birthday of Richard Matheson (1926-2013)

Even though I always default to HP Lovecraft as my favorite, I realize with every passing year that no other writer has had the impact/influence that Matheson has had on me.
