Horse Badorties’ Number One Sad

Artsy-craftsy. Angsty. Assonant. Obsessed with old stuff and weird stuff and kids’ books. She/her.
A reminder to take what you’re learning now about how vulnerable people are targeted by government and remember that they remain vulnerable under ANY administration. We need real reform and legal protections.

Idly wondering which shows’ intros get skipped least when people are binging.

I made this dumb meme in 2012 but my enthusiasm remains unabated. Loving this whole thread.

Please don't make me eat this.

Well, this is a whole mood, isn't it?

I just learned about the existence of this meme, but it sure feels like a similarly deranged flavor.

Deeply offended by the comma splice in this spam email.

Yeah, you’re probably right, PNM. It’s not because of record-low temps—it’s my burner size. Sorry about that!

We all have our reasons.

Oh thanks I was looking for something new to embroider on a pillow.

How about a nice Hirschfeld.

Don't worry. It's not like it's a metaphor for US democracy or anything.

Now I understand what fancy stores at the mall are trying to be.

Poster by AM Cassandre, 1926 - The 3-headed image is most associated with Sools hat shop in Paris (which I just found a photo of, so I'll post that too). This is the Spanish version.

Wouldn’t you like to be on a pea-green boat serenading your beautiful and beloved Pussy?

Tonight’s random YouTube find has Tim Curry in a very jaunty bathing costume (plus Michael Palin & Stephen Moore in theirs). It’s directed by Stephen Frears & adapted from Jerome K Jerome’s novel by Tom Stoppard: Three Men in a Boat (1975). Never knew this existed!

If I’m honest one of the main reasons I find certain social media platforms hard to give up is that I need an outlet for showing off my books. I just thrifted this c1979 copy of Grimms’ Fairy Tales. Art is by Luděk Maňásek. I don’t NEED any more Grimm collections—but this is full of lovely illos. 💗

I was just thinking of Max Headroom yesterday when I noticed this in my water filter. His cousin maybe?

Came upon a book of absolutely cursed Garfield images. It’s from 1999 and offers predictions about the new millennium.

Waiting to pick up my kid from school, reading about 70s McGuffin-esque spirituality, & watching the moonrise over Sandia Mtn. This is the world I guess.
