Had some mates up on Saturday and we managed to get the entire village pub singing Wild Mountain Thyme as Scotland were getting pumped 3-0 to Greece.

Sensational.

At a time of climate and nature collapse, farmers are paid subsidies to maintain all of Ireland's uplands as ecological deadzones. For what?

For the production of wool that's then dumped.

You could NOT make it up.

Hill farmers are dumping wool because there is 'no money' for it - cllr
Fianna Fáil Cllr. Justin Warnock has called for the government to "come up with a plan" for the use of wool.

For the first time in 6 months I have hot water coming out of my taps. Huge news.
Heat pump is installed!

Can't wait to have endless conversations with old bastards saying things like "aye, but they don't work when it gets cold do they?"

There's a wee guy on Reddit just had his Young Scot card taken off him by the driver cause he passed it back to a friend so they could both get on for free and the replies are all like GOOD - YOU JUST LEARNED A VALUABLE LESSON IN CAUSE AND EFFECT.

1. Because this issue is critical, but has received remarkably little coverage, here's a thread pulling out the key themes from my article yesterday, on the Planning and Infrastructure Bill, which puts decades of environmental protections to the torch. 🧵 www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Yesterday as I was driving back to Glasgow to visit the maw I stopped at a fuel station and there was one of those trucks that transfer sheep and cows to the slaughterhouse.

I could see all their wee worried faces looking out the gaps. Properly got tears in my eyes. Fucking horrible.
