Okay, but hear me out, what if we produce an entire generation of students who are *all* the ones who did nothing in the group project?

Every once and a while, someone tries to convince me that C and C++ are not bad languages. Sometimes this is a well-meaning friend, sometimes this is a random drive-by, sometimes it's an out and out troll. Regardless, though, please let me assure you of a few things:

The least important detail, but all this was going on over fucking *Gmail*? And the asshole had "vacation" in his user name? Just evil people, not evil geniuses.

Fuck Valve, but also fuck them far less than the average "fuck X" for tech companies X.

Ugh. If I want to keep working on Flashback, I'll have to move it from an Arduino backend to idf,py. I have no love for Arduino, but also, I don't want to have to fuck around with CMake, especially not duplicating logic between platformio.ini and cmake files.

Huh. Got a new ESP32-S3-USB-OTG dev board to test whether the UART issue was due to a defective unit, and... um. The new one failed in exactly the same way. The UART port just seems to do nothing at all?

Life kinda sucks in a lot of ways, but also? In the last twenty-four hours, I got to rewatch one of my favorite movies, got amazing feedback on a story that I traumatized myself to write, and got FFXIV Fan Fest tickets. Also, my DigiKey […]

It's kind of amazing that a Republican-controlled presidency, Senate, House, and SCOTUS managed to cause a shutdown, then Trump used the shutdown to tear down about a quarter of the literal White House, proceeded to starve literal children, and yet somehow Schumer managed to lose *on the optics*.

Just saw HAPPYEND again, and yep. Still a life-changingly good movie, no exaggeration. If you are in Seattle, it's playing just a bit longer at Northwest Film Forum in Capitol Hill.
