A really nice comeback to a true classic sketch series. The callbacks of classic characters were well done and didn't overtake the show from doing new things. Tho they didn't establish any new lasting bit within these 8 episodes. Episode 3 is my fave.

A follow up mini to Blood Hunt the event where there isn't a real tight narrative. Lots of fights with remnants of the vampire army, Dagger and Elsa but heads a bit, Miles shows up and leaves and Hallow's Eve has magic masks. Real thin story.

Another early 90's Jump manga that got axed. It tries to do the global adventure thing that Stardust Crusaders has going on but it takes too long to get that going and the group of characters are really one note. Some cool action beats but nothing unique.

Eobard Thawne comes back to be a real asshole and he brings in a lot of entertainment value. N52 Wally shows up and he's fine, also there's some shuffling around to make Iris more important again. There's more Speed Force lore but it doesn't feel impactful.

For RoD in November I went back to the New 52 and it was a mixed bag. Flash finds itself in the awkward middle ground of starting from zero and assumes you know Flash basics like The Rogues origins. Barry grows on you but the big arcs feel bland. Arts great tho.

Easily the most light hearted AC game which is weird to say but true. The banter between Evie and Jacob is fun, the Templars here are cartoonishly evil and kinda one note. London is really well realized. Also the Jack the Ripper dlc is a good dark contrast.

There's a fine balance in making a cynical action comedy and and the cynicism wins out more often than not. John Cena never fails being charming as hell and carries the movie. Awkwafina is okay here but mostly in the quiet scenes, the comedy didn't hit often.

Tone is all over the place, barely tries to be a kids movie but there's so much swearing, drug references and other stuff that no parent is gonna let their kid watch this. It's fun seeing Alan Ritchson play a dumb bro again. The movie ends with child murder.

Someone at Amazon watched The Suicide Squad and decided they wanted more of that. The banter between Cena and Elba is fine but it just doesn't hit like Gunn. The Air Force One action scene is the high point for how GI Joe it is, but suffers from terrible CG throughout.

Another solid season for Reacher, enjoyed it more than 2 but less than 1. The cat and mouse set-up for most of the season was a lot of fun, they really upped the tension with each new wrinkle in trying to keep the ruse up. The action was good as well, the 7'2" heavy was fun.

This is certainly a team comic. I get what Bunn was setting up in the first half but the back half is just spinning its wheels until the end. The adventures never feel grandiose enough, Caroline Le Fay is a crummy villain.

Had good energy, zany matches and good characters but I guess that wasn't enough. That last chapter introduces aliens that maybe they should have lead with. I certainly hope Kataoka comes back.

A capstone for Crossbell and Erebonie which delivers. The ultimate Trails experience packed with so much stuff that it'll exhaust you. The final boss feels over tuned but otherwise a nice time with stupid fun combat.
Goodbye Erebonia and hello Calvard.

A capstone for Crossbell and Erebonie which delivers. The ultimate Trails experience packed with so much stuff that it'll exhaust you. The final boss feels over tuned but otherwise a nice time with stupid fun combat.
