This is an incredible image of comet 3I/ATLAS, taken by Satoru Murata ICQ Comet Observations group on 16 November 2025 from western New Mexico.

Structure within the major dust tail from the comet is clearly visible, together with two smaller jets trailing the nucleus and maybe even an anti-tail.

A nice little pairing. This is the Bubble Nebula in the lower left, and the open star cluster M52 in the upper right. The Bubble is devilishly hard to get right. A least, I find it so. #Astronomy #Astrophotography

This is that interstellar object again, but starless. 31 Atlas. This is a better-stacked try at it. Forty 90-second images with genuine comet stacking. However, I did not manage to reintroduce the stars without the whole thing turning to crap. #Astronomy #Astrophotography

Finally happy with this now that I’ve spent more time learning about stretching curves and playing with it!

This is only about 13 minutes of exposure at 15 seconds each.

To capture images of this quality with a telescope/camera of this size is truly remarkable

Finally got this processed up enough to where I'm mostly happy with it - the data from my last imaging session a couple weeks ago has been haunting me 💀

But enjoy some Andromeda!

Progress update on the M31 project. This is 8 hours of one shot color with the FMA 135 and ASI 585MC. For a small scope with a filter and light polluted skies, this is coming along nicely!

The California Nebula (NGC 1499) is an emission #nebulae in Perseus, glowing about 1,000 light-years from Earth and stretching nearly 100 light-years across. Its deep red light comes from ionized hydrogen, excited by the nearby hot star Xi Persei, which floods the nebula with ultraviolet radiation.

The Triangulum Galaxy 🌌

I took over 500 images of M33 using the Seestar S50 under dark skies to create this image.

After reviewing many smart telescopes, I still consider the S50 the standard that new models are measured against.
